Slept in a little later than usual and had our usual breakfast at the hotel because today is the day where we get to be one with a herd of huskies at True Love @ Neverland! However, in order to be part of the herd of huskies at True Love @ Neverland, one must first be able to be included in at least one of their 2 play sessions with the dogs.
As of June 2018, there are two (2) Huskies Play Time Slots, which are as follows:Session 1: 12pm - 2pmSession 2: 3pm - 5pmTicket sales for each session is based on first-come-first-serve basis, and each ticket costs 350 THB per person per session, and it includes 1 hour of playtime with the Huskies, a free drink and a free slice of cake.
Knowing that there will be a crazy long queue, the kiasu-ness in me pulled boyfriend along to True Love @ Neverland at 10ish just to secure our queue number. Think that we are early? WRONG! There were already at least 20 groups of people in front of us. Imagine that!
My initial plan was to get a queue number and leave to explore the area. But we scrapped that idea and hung around the compound because I did not expect True Love @ Neverland to be situated so far inside the residential area. On our way in, we realised that it will be a fairly long walk from the train station. If we had not taken a cab, we probably would not have been able to get there in time.
By 11:30am, the queue was snaking all the way outside the compound, and yet there was still a steady flow of people coming in. Soon, the staff member called for everyone to be in line according to our queue number so they can gauge who can be in the 1st session and who will be in the 2nd session. Lucky for us, we managed to be included in the 1st session because about 3 numbers behind us were the cut-off for Session 1. The rest will have to return for Session 2 at 3pm. For those who did not manage to get a number can either patronise the cafe only or come back for another day for the Huskies interaction.
Ticket sales started at 12pm, whereas Huskies playtime officially starts at 1pm. We were seated down in the outdoor area, next to the interaction zone, and was served our choice of drink and cake. Before we know it, it was playtime!
They are all such a beau. |
The Huskies are so adorable and obedient! Some are anti-social though, but that is okay cause it's understandable. We went around taking photos, feeding, petting, and sitting around with the pack. It was an experience truly worth queuing for if one is a dog lover.
Our Huskies playtime ended at 2pm with their iconic Huskies sprint back into their home, and everyone headed back to the cafe. We sat around a little while longer to wait for the crowd to disperse and for our cab to arrive to take us to our lunch location.
When in Thailand, how can we not have the Boat Noodles right? So, our lunch hideout was at Rua Thong Noodle (Golden Boat), followed by Pa Yak Boat Noodles (The Best of Noodle Boat). Yes, we are trying both since both are highly raved online.
First stop, Rua Thong Noodle (Golden Boat). We ordered a small bowl (12 THB) of Thai Noodle with Pork and Thai Noodle with Beef, a bowl of Fried Pork Skin with Garlic, and a bowl of Lod Chong. That's all we ordered, unlike other customers in the shop who ordered like at least 10 small bowls of the noodles, because we wanted to leave some space for Pa Yak Boat Noodles (The Best of Noodle Boat).

I loved the Fried Pork Skin with Garlic and the Lod Chong, but not so much of the Boat Noodles because it was super spicy. A sip of the broth and the spices hit my senses hard. So, boyfriend had to finish my bowl of noodles as well. Luckily we only ordered 1 small bowl of noodles each.
Moving down the street was Pa Yak Boat Noodles (The Best of Noodle Boat).

This time around, we only ordered a small bowl (12 THB) of Thai Noodle with Pork, a bowl of Fried Pork Skin with Garlic, and a bowl of Lod Chong, just in case the noodles were too spicy for me, and it was. The only difference was that this broth carried more hint of sourness in it.
This was my first time eating Boat Noodles and I conclude that Boat Noodles is not my kind of food/dish. Undoubtfully it was very flavourful and one can taste the herbs and spices used for the broth, it just really isn't to my liking. On the other hand, the Fried Pork Skin with Garlic and Lod Chong were definitely to my liking though.
By the time we were done with our Boat Noodles adventure, it was late in the afternoon. Again, was supposed to go get a massage at Let's Relax Spa before heading to The Rome Restaurant for dinner, but our nua-ness set in, and we ended up heading to The Platinum Mall, which we barely even step foot in.
The long walk from Chit Lom Station to The Platinum Mall brought us to Gaysorn Village, which to my surprise, was really nice and none-bustling. We ended up shopping there for their local products instead.
Made our way back to our hotel to rest a little and also to put down all our shopping bags before heading over to Siam again. I think both of us really starting to like Siam area a lot more. Dinner was some street food / small bites here and there, followed by more shopping.
We came across the movie theatre at Siam Paragon called Paragon Cineplex, and they screen movies in 4D. So we decided to catch the movie, Jurrasic World: Fallen Kingdom, in 4D.
I'm so amazed by the 4DX movie experience. It's like being on the Shrek Ride in Universal Studios Singapore, but better (since it was a movie and not a ride).
No regrets. 4DX just made Jurrasic World: Fallen Kingdom even better!
